# Jira integration

> Connect Jira to MindFort, create tickets from security findings, and map Jira status transitions back to the finding state in MindFort.

Jira integration lets you create Jira tickets directly from findings and sync ticket status back to MindFort.

## Connect

1. Go to **Settings > Integrations**.
2. Click **Connect** on the Jira card.
3. Authorize MindFort with your Atlassian account.

## Configure

After connecting, click **Configure** to:

* Select the **default project** where new tickets are created.
* Set up **status mapping** so Jira status transitions automatically update finding state in MindFort, such as mapping Jira statuses to Active or Resolved.

## Usage

Open any finding and click **Create Jira Ticket** to push the finding details to Jira. Once a ticket exists, the button changes to **View Jira Ticket** with a link to the ticket and its current status.

## Interpret synchronized status

Jira's Done category or the configured resolved status resolves the linked finding. New or in-progress categories, or the configured active status, reopen it so your team can resume triage.

If automatic retesting is configured, an eligible resolution can queue validation. A resolved ticket is not proof that a deployed vulnerability is fixed; review the [retest result](/guides/retesting).
